Re: Downloading courses

For multiple/many downloads, Mega.nz is not completely free; there is a bandwidth limit. I don't know what the limit is, but you've obviously reached it for today. I think the bandwidth limit may even change depending on speed and number of downloads. Fortunately, I've never reached the limit, but I...

Re: Newbie Questions

For keyboard/mouse play, you can set the option in SETTINGS | GAME to change clubs with the scroll wheel on the mouse. I have no idea if this works with the simulator interface or if it would help with club selection, but it seems it would (although perhaps not as quick as a single keystroke). If yo...

Re: Game Modes

In Hazard Golf, you get points for missing the fairway, missing greens in regulation, hitting trees, landing in bunkers, etc. .... but only if you scramble and make par. Scoring is the accumulation of points/money throughout the 9- or 18-hole round.

Re: computer players

Based only on two rounds for each AI player, it seems to me that perhaps use 2 for the settings across the board may end up as a bogey golfer (that is set at Tour Pro with "Controlled" state of mind for the computer player). The two rounds of players I tested with settings all at 1 ended u...

Re: computer players

When setting the level of the computer player is 1 very good or very bad. Ideally I would like to setup the a computer player who will shot between 88 and 93 thanks. I don't use the AI, although I have set up a few players (I'm not patient enough to wait for them to shoot!). The lower the number, t...

spy88, Re-reading the sentence you quoted, I see that it's poorly worded! It may have caused you to misinterpret what I meant. I completely agree with your response. A difficult pin is defined by the approach shot, not by the green slopes, green speeds, or difficulty of putting at the hole location....

Re: Designers

I have the greatest respect for designers, not only those who recreate real courses, but especially those that create their own fictional designs. I've tried a little bit in the design programs, but I just don't seem to have what it takes to get a course to completion. My hopes using CF to create a ...

Re: What Are

The (C) means the distance provided is carry distance only, not any roll distance after the ball lands.
The (R), if that is what it is - my memory may fail me - is the carry and roll distance.

Re: JNPG minimizing during play

I haven't played in 5 weeks (and that includes not playing since the latest update), but I noticed when I quit the game, it would sometimes just minimize rather than closing. I play full screen, but never had the game minimize while I was playing. I don't know what the cause was, and I didn't really...

Re: OGT Tour News

And I was thinking I'd have to go back through all of my video-recorded rounds to note clubs, distances, results so that I could calculate the stats.... this definitely is of interest for me!

Re: Golf Rule Changes

They should do away with marking the ball on the green/course - even to clean the ball. Only clean the ball between holes or when you put a new one in play after a penalty. Eliminating marking the ball on the green would speed up play on the greens, which I think is where most of the slow play comes...

Re: PG User Manuals

I don't think you can save or replay the shot after the post-shot screen disappears. A few options that I can think of that may help: 1. Increase the time that the post-shot information is displayed or set it to manual (thus forcing you to click continue after each shot). A bit inconvenient to have ...

Re: new poll for realistic greens

I probably shouldn't have voted since I don't play OGT tournaments, but I was the first vote for 4 rounds of realistic greens. I look at the game differently than most do, though, so it's not unexpected that I'm in a minority. I haven't used the BLI or grids - my putting is always by what I see on t...

Re: TeRmY's (Terry) New PC Build

I'm not familiar with all the technical details of the components, but it seems like a pretty decent machine. Perhaps others with more first-hand knowledge on those details will comment. Two things come to mind for me, if were going to be my purchase: (a) I'm not a fan of the LED lights, but that is...

Try adjusting your sound settings to "stereo". For some reason, I'm thinking the 7.1 (and possibly 5.1) settings may not work.

Re: Used GC2a

I note that the seller is from Edmonton (Canada), so that $4250 is probably Canadian dollars ... approx. $3200 USD. Shipping costs to the US may add a few bones. Anyone in the market should obviously confirm the cost with the seller.

FYI, to enter into "Offline" mode, you change that in Steam. Open Steam and in the top left hand corner, choose the second option, which is "Go Offline...". You can get back online the same way:

Re: Question about scorecard

The in-game leaderboard at the end of the round doesn't show the result of your last hole. So if you bogey the 18th, the in-game leaderboard score will show one better than your actual standing. Similar (but opposite!) if you birdie. Best to check the OGT site leaderboard. I haven't pulled up the le...

Re: NAP at The Prelude - Invitation Only

Played both rounds today ... reasonably satisfied with the scores, given no warmup since my Tuesday round (Cdn Open @ Troon). I had a terrible time at #10 pin in Round 2; 5-putts at that hole alone (but 30 total for the round). I recorded/uploaded both to YouTube, although on both rounds I forgot to...
